The Denver Croquet Club is thrilled to announce the upcoming United States Croquet Association (USCA) National 9-Wicket Championship will be held at Pulaski Park, Denver, CO, from Wednesday, August 22nd through Saturday August 26th.

9-wicket croquet, also referred to as “backyard croquet” or “long grass croquet,” is the croquet many of us grew up playing in backyards and at picnics. Unlike the casual social game (“Uncle Fred’s rules”), the tournament will use USCA tournament rules for the Championship and First Flight, and simplified rules for the Introductory flight.

The tournament is open to players of all ages 16 and older, experienced or new to the sport. The tournament will feature a new “Introductory Flight” for none-USCA members. The “Introductory Flight” will play Thursday August 23rd through to finals on Saturday. August 26th.

But wait there’s more! Each day the tournament will feature delightful social events for all participants to enjoy. The tournament warmly welcomes visitors and guests of all ages come and watch the matches and or register for the social events.

Registration is required and can be completed on the USCA’s event page: USCA 9W National Championship Registration.

This event promises to showcase the “True Spirt” of American Croquet. Register, mark your calendar and join us at Pulaski Park for an unforgettable croquet experience. For Questions, information and/or registration of the “Introductory Flight,” contact: Ron Eccles, USCA District President, at 720-937-2056, coloradocroquet@gmail.com.
